See these beautiful clay children profiles? Not mine, mine is the hand built mug...
I have been taking a beginning ceramics/clay class with my friend K (we are having a lot of fun & getting frustrated too!). There are amazing people in this class (of course our teacher is absolutely talented hands down).
Here is one of them: A, she sculpts profiles (in the above photo).
Isn't she amazing? Crossing my fingers, I will be able to have my children sculpted by her. Isn't she brilliant?
Yeah, I know, my mug looks like a cave man mug with a curly handle :)I love ceramics!
I find these rock pumpkins hilarious. Everyone paints rocks for holiday crafts... so nothing new. My kids actually found and painted them when they were 2 1/2 and 5 years old. We used window paint sticks, so it wasn't messy at all. It's cheap, we repurposed rocks, and crafty all in one.
Anyway, they make super quirky pumpkin art for Halloween, perfect for little ones!
Super Simple Materials Needed:
- flat rocks
- wood board
- black paint
- super strong glue (ceramic adhesive would work: I used hot glue, cold weather pops them off)
- window paints (no mess with brushes!) found at your local craft store. I absolutely LOVE these window paints for toddlers...
Alright, so my kids begged me to buy bird feeders all Summer and I kept saying we'll make them! ...Well, we made these about 3 weeks ago, the end of Summer! Too bad it snowed today, we had to take them down :( Poor kids!
